Dr. Lohmann grew up on Long Island, NY. He attended Duke University in North Carolina and later moved to Atlanta for post-graduate studies at the Emory University School of Dentistry. After gaining his degree in Dentistry, Dr. Lohmann served in the US Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In 1986, Dr. Lohmann decided to return to Atlanta and chose the mid-Atlanta area as the location for his practice.

Amongst his many interests, Dr. Lohmann finds being active in his church and playing bridge to be two of his favorite activities. He is quite an accomplished bridge player and has achieved the status of Diamond Life Master.
