Teeth Whitening and Bleaching for a Brighter, Happier Smile
That bright smile might be closer than you think! It is not uncommon to see years of yellowing and discoloration disappear in just one office visit to Lohman Dental.
According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, teeth whitening is the most requested cosmetic service today and its popularity is only increasing.
With teeth whitening more popular than ever before, there are many teeth whitening products and methods on the market to meet the demand. There are home whitening kits, whitening toothpaste, special toothbrushes, natural ingredient products, like charcoal and even salons at malls that offer whitening services. The fact of the matter is that the different whitening options available can be confusing and even if you pick one, it might not be the best option for you. If you take things too far, you could even damage your teeth.
How can you know which whitening method is right for you?
We offer free in-office consultation to help you decide which is the best whitening option for you. There are a few variables to consider in concluding what will work best for you. How is your general dental health? What caused the tooth discoloration? Are there some things to fix before we work on whitening? Are there some materials that don’t work for you? How white do you want to go? What is your budget? What is your schedule? We work with you to attain the degree of whiteness you want, in consideration of the above factors. Depending on your needs and wants, we have several options that we can provide for you. Once a method is chosen, it is common to see years of yellowing and discoloration disappear in just one office visit, even if there is more work to do, or more whiteness desired.
Let us help.
Zoom® The Fast Track to White Teeth!
The most rapid, effective and dramatic whitening method is our in-office Zoom Whitening treatment. Each treatment takes roughly one hour and can brighten your teeth many shades in just one visit.
This is accomplished with a high-powered bleaching agent that is applied directly to the teeth. Protection is put in place for your gums and mouth, so only your teeth are exposed to the bleaching agent. A special light is then employed to accelerate the process. This treatment is performed under the supervision of a trained professional.
Most individuals need only one treatment but in some cases, a second, or even third, treatment is necessary to achieve the desired results, which can be dazzling.
There are some types of discoloration, such as from the heavy use of antibiotics like tetracycline, which may not be receptive to this type of bleaching and will respond better to another whitening method.
At Lohmann Dental, we will advise you if this type of in-office treatment is suitable for your teeth and will achieve the desired end- result.
