Please allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Dr. Samir Patel and I am proud to announce that I have recently joined Dr. Lohmann’s practice as his Associate Dentist. 

I am an Atlanta native, receiving my Bachelor of Science locally at Georgia State University and my doctorate at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

I realize that I am very fortunate to have found my niche in life, as a Dentist.  I am able to pair my enthusiasm for the health sciences with a fine tuned manual dexterity I picked up from a childhood spent delving into such intricacies as model making, computer repair and illustration!  My guilty pleasure is sports cars and I can often be found perusing local car shows.

My older sister was a great influence on my decision to enter the healthcare field when she entered the medical profession.  I was inspired by her devotion to caring for the welfare of others and I happily followed in her footsteps, and so here I am.

I provide comprehensive dental care ranging from simple fillings to more complex procedures like root canals, crowns and bridges.  I am also very excited to provide cosmetic services such as veneers and whitening.

My name is Anna Kouri, I hail from Massachusetts where I completed my post-baccalaureate studies.  I earned an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene at Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists: Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Worcester State College.  I was honored to receive the 2004 Marilyn Hogan Thoreson Memorial Award; for clinical achievement, generosity of spirit and concern for others. 

In my spare time I enjoy volunteering at community health centers and I am an active member of my church.  I love yoga, competitive tennis, extreme snowboarding, cooking and exotic traveling. 

I enjoy helping my patients with any questions they may have about their oral health and believe that education about dental issues is half the battle!

My name is Alex L-Jones and I am the Deputy Office Manager here at Lohmann Dental.  My primary purpose at the practice is to help patients with their treatment plans.  I am also responsible for personnel and marketing.

I was born in Kent, in the county just south of London, England.  When I was a boy my parents immigrated to New Zealand and then over to Australia where I spent much of my childhood.  I graduated from the University of Wollongong with a BA in English with a major in Communications.  After receiving my degree I hopped on a plane for the States and pursued various adventures in California, Oregon and North Carolina.  I have been in love with America since I was a child and have driven from coast to coast many times.

I met my wonderful wife in Hollywood, California and we spend a great deal of our spare time working on various writing projects together.  I enjoy writing, gardening, fine art, books, movies and hiking.  The list is probably endless.

I love meeting and helping people and it is a pleasure to work with such a dedicated and fun dental team.

My name is April Hyatt.  I am a North Carolina native, born just outside of Asheville in the Blue Ridge mountains.  I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.  At Central Piedmont in Charlotte I obtained my degree in Dental Hygiene.  I have been working as a Hygienist for over five years and have been with Dr. Lohmann for nearly three years when I moved to Atlanta in 2006.

I love my job and enjoy making my patients comfortable.  During your visit, we will address all of your concerns and give you the quality service and care that you deserve.  Dr. Lohmann has encouraged me to expand my capabilities in the dental field, so I spend a lot of my time preparing for dental school.

I love the outdoors so when I am not studying I get out as much as possible, hitting the hiking, biking and river trails of Georgia and North Carolina.

My name is Shanika Ford and I am Dr. Lohmann’s dental assistant.  You could say I have a passion for dentistry.  I graduated from Martin Luther King High School in 1999 and went to Advance Career Training to fulfill my dreams of working in the dental field as an assistant.

I am very happily married with a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful children.  In my spare time I love cooking and spending time with my family.  They keep me laughing and on my toes, especially my two year old boy! 

I am very lucky to be working with Dr. Lohmann.  He is a very dedicated and caring dentist and a dream to work for.  I think his gentle dentistry spills over into how he deals with his staff and it is extremely refreshing!

Hello! My name is Rebecca Bonner and I am Dr. Lohmann’s Director of Scheduling.  Our paths will definitely cross as I am responsible for scheduling you and I am the last person you see when you leave after your appointment!

I am a graduate of the Gwinnett College of Business with a concentration in medical office administration.  In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.  When the dust settles and the kids are in bed, I love to read.  I have a particular taste for suspense and detective novels, a passion I have found I share with Dr. Lohmann!  He’s a who-dunnit buff too

My name is Maegan Weathers and I am Dr. Patel’s dental assistant.  I am an Atlanta native raised in Dekalb and Gwinnett counties.  I have two very honorable parents, a midwife and a handyman and four amazing siblings.  I am very happily married with two wonderful children; a boy and a girl.

Here at Lohmann Dental I am continually encouraged by the eagerness and professionalism of the staff.  Teamwork and dedication is thriving here and it is a blessing and a joy to come in to work.  I look forward each day to caring for our patients and meeting new faces.
